You have the opportunity to achieve your dream. Are you taking it? Today’s post teaches you how to gain clarity, overcome rejection, build self-confidence & more importantly action! #Theproudcompany #RiseAboveRejection #BeYouBeProud
Have you ever had days when you sit and daydream about your ideal life? What would it look like, feel like? You get excited at the prospect of living your dream and then… you snap out of it and go about your life, putting your dreams at the back of your mind because after all, it’s just a dream, a fantasy and it can’t possibly happen to people like you. Sound familiar?
Now, flip that and ask yourself ‘Why can’t it happen to me?’ You see, we are all human beings, we all need to eat and breath and sleep. Successful people are normal people like you and me – the only difference is that they do not listen to naysayers. They do not care about negative comments, they do not believe that anything is unachievable. They live their lives looking at the glass as half full, not half empty. They wake up every morning knowing that anything is possible, if you try and work hard.
It’s time to realise that you have the power to rise above rejection and achieve a dream that looks and feels impossible and here are 5 easy steps, which may sound simple, but will help you truly realise your dreams!
The most important thing you can do to be successful and even more importantly, be happy, is to believe in yourself. That sounds easy right? You’d be surprised how many people think they do, but they really don’t. Perhaps you had a difficult childhood; was told that you were no good at school; left school without the ‘right’ qualifications. Maybe, you are in a job that you’re no longer happy with, but your friends and family tell you that you should be grateful to have a job in the current pandemic crisis, so you stick with it because, well, it’s better than nothing.
Firstly, your past does not need to affect your future – so it’s time to let go of whatever happened to you back then. Secondly, what other people think or say about you, that’s their opinion, it does not need to be yours.
This is YOUR life, no-one else’s. It’s time to unleash the warrior in you and believe that you are more than capable of achieving your goals, no matter what anyone else thinks. They can live their life, their way. It’s time you live yours, YOUR way.
I’m sure you have heard the saying Rome wasn’t built in a day, well, success isn’t built in one either. Once you have decided on what you want to achieve in life, and let’s be clear here, this does not simply apply to people who want to be rich and famous, this applies to anything you want to achieve for example, being a stay-at-home mum, working from home, owning a bigger house… whatever your dream is, stick with it. Don’t give up. Follow the path that will lead you to your goal. Do your research, do whatever it takes to get yourself on that path, be patient, trust in yourself and the universe and stick with it. It really will materialise if you don’t give up!
Now that you have invested time into your dream, it’s time to go for it. Suddenly, the world conspires against you, and you are forced to abandon your dreams. This has been the case for so many during the recent pandemic. However, at times like these, when defeats feel like the end of the road, it’s time to look at the glass as half full. Any defeat, whether it’s a job offer refusal, loan application rejection, a global pandemic – anything and I mean anything, can be flipped into a positive. Use the rejection, refusal, pandemic or whatever else and turn it into a wonderful opportunity to change the way you think or are approaching your end goal. Learn from the negative experience and do things differently the next time you try. When a child falls, you encourage them to get back up, you don’t tell them to stay on the floor forever and give up, so be equally as kind to yourself. Get back up, dust yourself off and keep on trying.
This is such a common pitfall. Looking at other people and wanting what they have. It’s important to remember that life is a journey and each person’s journey is unique to them. Mrs Jones across the road may look like she is living the perfect life, but I’m sure she has also had a few worries along the way. Mr Brown got the job you applied for, that’s because that job was destined for him, and not you. You see, your dream life is different from Mrs Jones and Mr Brown, so it’s irrelevant what they do or don’t achieve. This is your journey, your dream and everything will fall in place at the right time for YOU!
What is perfection? My idea of perfect probably differs from your idea of perfect, so what exactly is perfection? It is ‘the action or process of improving something until it is faultless.’ If you are waiting for the perfect time to start achieving your dreams, you will never get going. Life rarely runs smoothly and waiting for the ‘perfect’ moment to start anything, is another way of delaying your dreams. The perfect time to start anything, is right now. Don’t wait, don’t delay, don’t find excuses and barriers. You are perfect and the perfect time is right now.
What are you waiting for? Set your goal, dream big, plan it, take risks, work hard,. Get inspired, get excited and more importantly… get going!
You’ve got this!
As Always, Lots of Love
